As my cynical mind predicted, the UK government will refuse to put Spain onto the Green list as of 7th June. A further review 3 weeks later could potentially have the same result. They are prepared to allow autonomous regions such as the Balearics and Canaries to be treated independently, but Valencian Region is thrown into the mixing pot with the rest of Spain, even though we have proven figures of safety.
It is suggested that 50% of the population is now Covid immune with a combination of the vaccine and the natural immunization from infection. Were we not lead to believe that the herd immunity started at 40%. It smells like the herd of bulls have been out for a party!!!!
Although all the stats point to Spain being a safe destination, there seems to be an invisible full stop from the UK allowing the British to travel here. I am sure we all have an opinion on the reasons why that might be…Drop me an email with your theories, that will make for interesting reading.
